Crois Mhic Lionnain -— Lennon's Cross
The name of the town has its origin in an ale house at the crossroad owned by an Owen Lennon.
The chief feature of this busy little town is a broad square reputedly the largest market square in Ireland, where the local landlord built an impressive market house in 1811.
The town is famed for its traditional music and its horse fair which is held annually in September.
The town also hosts an open air fair on the first and third Friday of each month where you can sample the traditional flavour of Ireland.
