Cranfield Beach

Cranfield beach is set in an idyllic location at the mouth of Carlingford Lough, with the majestic Mourne Mountains as a dramatic backdrop.

The long, south facing beach offers excellent facilities for all visitors whether it be for a gentle stroll or for more strenuous water based activities and provides the perfect setting for the family with a wide expanse of sand and clean bathing water.

Cranfield Beach has been awarded the prestigious Resort Seaside Award, which is given to beaches and marinas across Europe that meet strict criteria for water quality.

Cranfield Beach operates the internationally recognised lifeguard flags.

Please note toilets are closed during winter months and showers are only available July and August.

RNLI Lifeguards are on duty at Cranfield Beach during July and August.

The area is also ideal for water sports and there are excellent caravan and camping facilities, which are situated along side the beach.
